![]() ![]() I'm happy to share any diagnostic type info or carry out literally any software steps (there's nothing on it, so if I tank the OS it doesn't matter). I have tried installing it with apt-get-install, but it didn't make a difference. I don't think I have evdev installed, which some people seem to think is the solution. I tried installing the driver from here: īut that just caused the touch panel to stop responding altogether, so I started again with a fresh OS write. 5 Touch Screen Driver for Ubuntu MATE Post Time: 01:09:38 Category: Raspberry Pi screen 1, Install Ubuntu OS in your Micro SD card (if. I'm guessing there's a config file somewhere, or something I can do with config.txt. I'm pretty noob level with linux in general. So when I touch top left, the cursor goes top right. It works with a new OS, out of the box with no installation. ![]() The device is (according to lsusb):Ġeef:0001 D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd eGalax TouchScreen I have a 7" screen, and a USB touch panel that goes on top of it. I'm well pleased as QT was looking like a mountain to climb.Sorry if I'm asking an over-asked question, but I've been googling for days, and I can't find an answer I understand! I now have a usable eGalax/HDMI 8 inch touch screen working under Kivy. Whichever way I do it the Kivy config.ini file needs to be updated to make it possible for end users to calibrate themselves. I am going to look at either a rewrite of ts_print_raw or a fresh Python-based calibrate program for Kivy. That said, ts_print_raw is helpful as you can get the coordinates for the four corners of the screen and plant the values into the min_abs_x, max_abs_x, min_abs_y, max_abs_y values in the Kivy config.ini file and it's almost perfect! I also required invert_x. The tslib utlitiy ts_calibrate does not help as it doesn't use the frame buffer correctly on my RPi - the test screen is smaller than the full screen that Kivy uses for some reason not yet identified. Having fixed this aspect of the eGalax problem the next issue is the calibration. There are lots of kivy eGalax users looking for this solution so it ought to be done. ![]() If no one else has done it I will put a request on github for a change. The 'offical' Raspberry Pi 7' touchscreen is an USB-HID 10-point capacitive one. Adding the max_abs_x etc to the config options list in HIDInputMotionEventProvider fixes the problem.
